RMS Hockey has named Madison Capitols forward Ryker Lee the USHL Rookie of the Year for the 2024-25 season.
Lee, who is committed to Michigan State University and is eligible for the 2025 NHL Draft, has distinguished himself as a top prospect by leading all first-year players with a total of 31 goals and 68 points.
The native of Wilmette, Illinois recorded 37 assists, 189 shots on goal, and five game-winning goals, all of which ranked second among USHL rookie skaters.
Kicking off the season with an impressive three-point performance at the USHL Fall Classic, Lee consistently demonstrated his offensive abilities, achieving 21 multi-point games throughout the regular season. His season-high performance included a four-goal, five-point night in a dominant 12-1 win against the NTDP U17 team.
Throughout the season, Lee served as a critical offensive contributor for the Capitols, producing six multi-goal games and receiving recognition as the USHL Forward of the Week on two occasions.
As a result, the young forward significantly improved his draft stock, moving from a 2nd/3rd round projection in Central Scouting’s preliminary list back in October to being ranked as the No. 28 overall North American skater in the final rankings.
